Carswell's experience spans complex international transactions, operational turnarounds, and technology commercialization. James has structured the acquisition of an LSE-listed company, acquired multiple European industrial assets, and led the turnaround of a 40,000-acre coal mining operation. As co-founder of Composite Technology Corporation (now CTC Global), he helped commercialize breakthrough power-grid technology that is now deployed at scale by utilities across more than 70 countries worldwide. He also led the acquisition of a German wind turbine manufacturer, relocated operations to Texas, and ultimately executed its successful strategic sale to Daewoo.Known for his ability to bridge strategy, operations, and capital formation, James has repeatedly guided ventures from concept and early-stage development through commercialization, scale, and value realization. His career reflects a combination of entrepreneurial vision, disciplined execution, and a practical understanding of how to build enduring businesses in complex and capital-intensive industries.Fluent in Spanish, James is also a licensed pilot and accomplished sailor.
